The Latin American and Latino Studies Program (LALS) proudly announces that beginning fall 2017, we now offer a Major as well as a Minor in Latin American and Latino Studies! Our curriculum now expands to more fully represent the field of Latino Studies, which is of crucial importance to the Lehigh University community, Bethlehem and the greater Lehigh Valley, and the United States at large.

The countries that constitute Latin America, together with a central presence of Latino cultures in the United States, present a dynamic social, historical, and aesthetic panorama. With courses in Anthropology, Art, English, History, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology, and Spanish, LALS at Lehigh University offers students an interdisciplinary approach to the study of Latin America and Latino populations in the United States. LALS also features a Postdoctoral Fellowship, and routinely offers a Latin American Film Series and lectures by LALS faculty and internationally renowned speakers. Learn more about the Major and Minor in Latin American and Latino Studies.

For further information or to coordinate your Major or Minor program, students should contact the Office of Interdisciplinary Programs, 31 Williams Hall, Suite 101, incasip@lehigh.edu
